Lisa also stocks major online fashion label ASOS, and proved to be an instant hit with their shoppers, becoming the highest selling Independent designer in the three months prior to Christmas 2009. Lisa’s journey in fashion was realised when she studied Fashion Design at Dewsbury College of Art and Design where met and was presented a design award by top American fashion designer Ben de Lisi, now mentor and judge on the television series ‘PROJECT CATWALK’ . While working part time as a dressmaker for a local corset designer she formed a friendship with the team at Aqua Couture, who at that time were launching a new shopping outlet at the Corn Exchange in Leeds. Quickly gaining recognition for her killer pieces Lisa went on to win “Leeds Independent Retail Awards" Designer of the Year award.

Described as the "Queen of Leeds independent Fashion" Lisa’s designs certainly pack a punch in the style stakes which has gained her a huge celebrity fan base, Lucy Jo Hudson, Sara Cox, Kerry Katona, Zoe Salmon, Colleen Rooney to name a few. Lisa’s designs are now frequently photographed on the back of many a celebrity, and feature in top glossy fashion magazines. Her celebrity followers love Lisa’s impeccably stylish designs and often commission Lisa to create pieces exclusively designed just for them. Lucy Jo Hudson (‘Out the Wild’ star) commissioned Lisa to design her four bridesmaid’s dresses and Lisa’s twin sister NICOLA DANN an Independent Handbag designer, created exclusive handbags for each of the four girls to hold, replacing traditional bouquets, for her recent wedding to actor Alan Halsall. This appeared on the front cover of OK magazine and a full length feature inside. Kerry Katona hand picked Lisa Jayne Dann to help update her style for her relaunch, and has been papped wearing the signature Lisa Jayne Dann Victorian Trench coat and gorgeous Rainbow Maxi dress (OK Mag). Just last week, Big brother star Chantelle Houghten wore Lisa’s Red Grecian Mini dress and looked simply stunning!....its goes to show that stepping out in Lisa Jayne Dann guarantee’s to turn the right heads!

So what inspires Lisa within her designs? “I want women of all ages to feel the best they can. I use influences from past, current and future trends on the catwalk to create a unique and obtainable style. Sumptuous colours and vintage references inspire me within my work and I love to mix them with classic touches. I hope to provide the wearer with not only an eye catching, quality well cut garment, but also give them that special something extra that will keep them reaching for it over and over again....a timeless classic, and a much loved and cherished ‘best friend’.
